Good compliation + "Astronomeous"
This is a nice inexpensive commercial grade dvd (doesn't even have that cheap, sooty plastic case odor!) that contains seven previously available early black and white Felix episodes plus one that has not been on dvd to the best of my knowledge - the striking and funny "Astronomeous", wherein Felix relocates the Earth's cats to Saturn!
If you recall Tex Avery's "The Cat That Hated People" for MGM you will see where he possibly got one of his visual gags - namely the Saturnian hammer monster assaulting Felix. That cartoon also reworked some of Avery's own earlier gags but I forget wich cartoon offhand.
This dvd contains: 1)outdoor indore, 2)astronomeous, 3)april maze, 4)false vases, 5)forty-winks, 6)oceantics, 7)neptune nonsense (color, Van Beuren studios), and 8)arabiantics.
Runing time is listed at 60 minutes. The sound and picture are average for Felix cartoons.
Perfectly watchable and enjoyable!
