The Indian
Awesome Independent Film!
I've been waiting for this film to get to DVD ever since I saw it in Universal City at the Cinema City International Film Festival. It won "Best Feature Film" and many of the cast were there walking the red carpet.
This movie delivers on many levels, great story, good for family (I'd say PG-13), beautiful setting near the California coast, and terrific acting. It's a sleeper as it entices with the cool exterior and mystique around an antique Indian motorcycle, and carries a powerful punch through its moving, and finally uplifting story of a strained father-son relationship. The love story between the two young actors also heats up the screen, as well as the music by Dishwalla.
I give the film 4-stars only because it lacks the special effects and polished look of a multimillion dollar blockbuster, but that should definitely not dissuade you from seeing this awesome story. Don't just listen to me, here are some of the awards this Indy film has received:...
Excellent Film!!
The Indian was rewarding and time well spent. The film keeps the viewer wanting to learn more about the central characters. The Indian is well scripted, crafted and visually appealing - depicting teen angst, the bond of family and redemption with a "twist". Kudos to filmmaker James Gorrie!
Definetely a film to watch
The Indian is awesome. It is a wonderful story that will keep you watching till the end. The actors are great too. You'll be glad you watched it.
